How reset TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System Warning Light Mini Paceman model years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016

The purpose of the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) on Mini Paceman is to alert you when tire pressure is too low and could to create unsafe driving conditions.

If the light is illuminated, it means your tires could be underinflated, which can lead to undue tire wear and possible tire failure. It’s important to understand the importance of proper tire inflation, and how TPMS can help you maintain your tires.

If the tyre pressure light comes on particularity when it’s cold, this is because air pressure is lower when cold and once the tyre has warmed, the light should go out.

 

NOTE. To stop the warning light coming on, add a little air to the tyres, being careful not to over-inflate.

The tyre pressure warning light illuminates on the Mini Paceman often due to tyre pressure falling 25% or more below the threshold allowance in one or more tyres.

Before resetting the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), check pressure in all tyres including the spare if you have one.

For reset the tyre pressure warning light in the Mini Paceman, you’ll need to use the navigation buttons on the steering wheel and follow the menu on the display screen.

How reset TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System Warning Light Mini Paceman model years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, follow these instructions:

WITH CENTER DISPLAY
For 2013 model year vehicles, you can access the TPMS reset menu via the Central Information Display. Here’s how to do it:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure recommended on the tire placard
  • Start the engine
  • From the main menu select VEHICLE INFO
  • Select VEHICLE STATUS
  • Select PERFORM RESET
  • Select PERFORM RESET again to start the initialization
  • Drive the car and the reset process will be complete without any feedback issued
  • Done.

WITH CLUSTER DISPLAY

In this model, you can also reset the TPMS using the BC button on the turn signal lever. Follow these instructions below:

  • Make sure to adjust the tire pressure in all four tires recommended on the tire placard
    The tire placard located on the driver’s door panel
  • Start the engine
  • Depress the clutch or brake pedals and then press the START/STOP ENGINE button
  • Go to the SET/INFO menu by pressing the BC button repeatedly
  • The button is located on the end of the turn signal lever
  • Press and hold the BC button to enter the menu
  • This will take you to the maintenance menu
  • Press the BC button repeatedly until the TPMS symbol is displayed
  • The TPMS symbol will be accompanied by RESET
  • Hold down the BC button to execute the TPMS reset
  • RESETTING message will appear in the display
  • Drive the car
  • Done.

The tyre pressure monitoring system will now have been reset on the Mini Paceman and the warning light should go out.
